Review - Letscom Fitness Tracker Watch HR (FitBit)

I bought this for £30 from Amazon. And I've been really pleased that for the cost of buying a bog standard digital watch, i'm getting much more and an incentive to exercise! The main functions are heart rate, sleep quality and step counter, but there is quite a bit more!

Sleep Quality Monitor 4/5

I like that it can measure my sleep quality quite accurately, its telling me accurately when i fell asleep and when i woke up and i think the quality of sleep is quite accurate as one morning i woke up in the middle of a deep sleep and I was dreary for the next few hours!

Additional Functions 5/5

I'm really pleased with the simple but additional bits such as :

  • Caller alert - great for people like me who don't look at their phones at work!

  • Sedentary alert - vibrates (not too loudly) when you haven't moved for a set time. Great for desk jobs!

Battery life - 4/5

I'm pretty pleased, i only have to charge it for 10 minutes to keep using it a few days! I think the sports mode drains it a bit more, but a half an hour charge has lasted me 4 days so far

App - 3/5

I think the app is pretty clear to use but one major thing missing is workout stats. Although it the watch itself has a sports mode, I cannot seem to find a way for the data to be recorded and analysed independently as part of a workout session. It forms part of the whole day's data, but say I want to compare a workout a month on to see that my average heart rate is lower to confirm I've got fitter, it wont measure that.

My friend showed me his app on the FitBit brand and they do have this function.  This point is frustrating me quite a bit, as obviously the data is there! On sports mode, its on a running timer , monitors your heart rate live, measures distance live, which is all useful whilst working out. It just doesn't save it under a specific workout session on the app. for you to track. The only bit that allows you remotely track the workout is on heart rate section it will tell you how much time was fat burning/ cardio via knowing how much time you spent at various high heart rates.

Screen - 3/5

The screen isn't bright enough to see on a sunny day. I thought it had run out of battery for a few minutes before I realised it was just because i couldn't see it under direct sunlight

All in all, if you are wanting to improve your fitness, i do recommend buying one and it is an incentive knowing that if you exercise more your heart rate will improve, or that you can run for longer and faster or even just that you are making enough steps a day.
